About This Subject

History as a BA subject covers ancient, medieval and modern Indian history along with an overview of world history. Students learn about great empires, freedom fighters, social reform movements and the making of modern India.

For students from Hanumangarh and Rawatsar, History has a personal connection — the Ghaggar River valley (ancient Saraswati) is one of the oldest civilised regions in India, and Rajputana's proud heritage is a key part of the syllabus.
